Employment Services

As part of our mission, we are thrilled to offer a range of services designed to empower refugees and immigrants in our community with the tools they need to have successful careers. We accomplish this by providing the following services:

Career Pathways

This program empowers clients to achieve career advancement through training opportunities and career coaching. Services include resume and cover letter editing, practice interviews, skill assessments, degree evaluations, and job search support. We also connect clients with external community resources including mentorships, job shadowing opportunities, internships, career fairs, and other support networks.

Early Employment

We understand that everyone’s journey to employment is unique. Our team works closely with our clients to create a personalized self-sufficiency plan. This comprehensive plan is tailored to their skills, abilities, and employment expectations. This plan also helps our clients to achieve financial independence through job coaching, resume building, workshops, financial and digital literacy trainings, and creating plans to support families in overcoming any barriers to achieve self-sufficiency.

Job Readiness Training

Our clients are enrolled in Canopy’s Job Club course. This continuing education course equips our clients with the skills and knowledge they need to enter the workforce. Our Refugee Services Instructor provides job coaching, workplace orientation, and assistance with benefits enrollment to ensure our clients are fully prepared for their new role in our local economy.
